Canterbury Christ Church University would like to offer AEC Network members the opportunity to accredit their learning journey within Ambulatory Emergency Care.
This can be done in two ways:
For staff wishing to study at Foundation Level 4 or 5, Level 6 BSc or Level 7 MSc, the university can offer accreditation of learning via the negotiated learning module. Interested members would need to apply to the university to be registered to the module, but would not need to attend the university, all academic advice and support would be provided by Sue Holmes, via virtual learning environment, skype, email or telephone. Assessment is by completion of a portfolio of evidence or an assignment and a skill based work place evidence tool (WPET). On successful completion 20 credits will be awarded at the chosen level. The current cost (2016) is £730 per person.
Alternatively;
Members may wish to apply to attend a short course in 'Contemporary Issues in Ambulatory Care'. This short course has been specifically designed for Registered Nurses and Associated Practitioners who work within an ambulatory care environment either in primary or secondary care, who wish to study at BSc or MSc level.
It is a blended learning short course when members would attend Canterbury Christ Church University on two consecutive dates in February 2017. Subsequent attendance will be via a distance learning package with a further two consecutive day university attendance in May 2017 to consolidate their learning. Assessment is by completion of a portfolio of evidence documenting personal and professional development within the adult ambulatory care setting. On successful completion 20 credits will be awarded at the chosen level. The current cost (2016) is £730 per person.
